Ion exchange resin

   Ion exchange resin is a specialized filter material used for water softening. It removes hardness-causing ions dissolved in water (mainly calcium and magnesium) and replaces them with sodium ions. This process is known as ion exchange.
   Ion exchange resin is mainly used in water softener pressure tanks and is widely applied in both residential and industrial water treatment systems.

The primary functions of ion exchange resin are:

• reducing total water hardness;
• preventing scale (limescale) formation;
• reducing deposits in pipes and equipment;
• extending the service life of water-using household and industrial appliances.
